Starting the Fire - Who's to Blame?

Ever since I was a young child, art has always been a passion of mine. And, to fuel this passion, I always try to keep busy with some kind of art project. I'm not sure who lit up my interest in art, but I would like to thank whoever it was. This love of art is always going to be a fire that will never stop burning. :)

I have all kinds of crafts and paintings and drawings started (all of which I should be working on right now), but tonight is one of those lazy nights where I just don't feel like doing anything. Well...I guess I am technically "doing something" since I am sitting here writing...

Anyways!

With the help of Pinterest, I found a few insanely cool art projects that I'd like to try out someday:

  1. Newspaper Skyline Painting
First paint the sky as the background, then collage newspaper buildings over the canvas. Then, paint layers of tinted acrylic paints.

  2. Rolled Paper Vase
The basic idea is to roll magazine strips and hot glue them together. All kinds of things can be made with rolled paper or magazine strips.

  3. Painted Glasses
Get a paint brush and some acrylic paint, and use the back end of the brush to create dots on the glasses. Then, put the glasses into a cold oven and preheat it to 350 degrees. Let the glasses sit for 30 minutes, then turn the oven off and let it cool (with the glasses still inside).

  4. Tape Painting
This one is kind of self-explanatory. Just situate Scotch tape any way you want on the canvas, and have your way with the paint!

  5. Pendant Necklaces and Glass Magnets
You will have to go to this website to learn how to make these, but they're so cool!

I'm not sure how well a few of these projects will turn out, but you never know until you try. Hopefully I'll get to these projects soon, though.

Comment your thoughts on these projects, and as always, thanks for reading!
